Well I think for this week Aaron provided the most questions, and the most interesting ones as well! So we´re going to use his to form this next email!
Are you usually pretty busy, jam packed schedule or are you always thinking up things to do? We usually start with a lot of things planned, and if all goes well, we keep pretty busy. Except when the appointments fall through, which tends to happen about every day. Then we just go talk to people and see who wants to listen!
What the heck. Did your Comp bring Yu-gi-oh cards with him? or pick them up there? Yes, that's pretty nerdy. He brought some of them with him, but he always wants to go to the mall on p-day to buy another packet. He´s pretty concerned with strengthening his deck. Although he´s been pretty tired these last few nights, which gives me a good chance to just chill and read the Liahona!
Tell your comp Pokemon is where it's at, yugioh is a knock off. That should cause some contention. Probably not the best idea. He´s pretty defensive about his cards!
What else have you done on some P-days? I´ve been to a waterfall, to Chimborazo, played soccer a couple hundred times, watched some President Ghent-approved movies (today we watched Madagascar), and done some picnics. That´s about all of it!
Last P-day? We did some frisbee as a district, picked avacados, and ate pizza (as a matter of fact we ate pizza today as well!).
One before that? My companion and I went to the mission office to pick up the mail for the zone. Then we went to the mall, had some lunch, I checked out a place called ´´donut express´´ and my companion bought some more yugioh cards. He also found out they do tournaments in the afternoon. We are not going back there, no matter how much he asks me to!
One before that one? I don´t really remember. I think that was when we had transfers. So I spent the day dropping of my last companion and getting my new one.
Where are you exactly now? I loose track. I´m in Conocoto, in Valle de los Chillos. It´s a valley off to the east of Quito (I think).
What is your comp's name? Elder Montalvo from Guayaquil
Would you trade him for pina colada? That´s a really good question. It would depend on the size and the deliciousness of the piña colada.
Are you still doing good? that's what I tell everyone that asks, "how's spencer doing?" Or I say something like, apart from his stomach virus, uncontrollable vomitting, and RAGING diahreah, he's fine. Yeah, I´m good. The results of our efforts are starting to show more, and I´m going to finish strong! I´m not suffering from any sicknesses or serious problems, but if you would like to circulate some rumors just for the fun of it, I give you permission.

Have you pranked some of your comps? Just dumb stuff like telling them they´re getting transferred, nothing big though.

Well, you want questions huh? Yes, yes I do.
What is the most valuable thing you have learned on your mission? I have learned to get down to the heart of people´s needs, rather than just teach them ´´lessons´´. For example, Aaron, I would suggest that with that bible lady you take some time to ask some questions and listen to her. Find out what it is that she´s looking for with all that bible study she does. When you find a need, teach accordingly. It will make the visit more meaningful for her and you will be able to help her learn more easily. And it will be easier to teach her. You won´t have to turn the lesson into a bible bash.
How has your testimony grown? Mostly in the sense that I have stronger desires to involve myself in the work, I´m not really sure how to describe it, sorry! And if anyone tries to diss the Book of Mormon, I put them in their place first thing! That book is where it´s at!
Who is the most interesting person you've met on your mission? The first that comes to mind is the screaming female pastor in Esmeraldas. But there was also this half crazy woman in my first area who always wandered into the chapel and asked the missionaries for a massage. Or maybe the old guy with the enormous hunting knife who always asked us for money. That reminds me, an old guy asked us for money at lunch today. I offered him a piece of pizza, but he refused!
What should one eat if they go to ecuador? Patacones, encebollados, and cuy!
What is your most embarrassing moment on your mission? When I had recently arrived in Guaranda, there was this lady we were teaching. My companion asked her how she imagined God. She answered, ´´like a beautiful man´´. My companion was kind of a character and asked, ´´like me, right?´´ and the lady points to me and says ´´no, like him!´´ I was just thinking, ´´you´ve got to be kidding me!´´ That probably would be the most emarrassing moment.
