Happy 4th everybody!
It´s been a great week, and we´ve been working hard! Our first focus has been finding new people! We have a lot of people right now who are about to be baptized, but if we don´t find new people, we will be out of luck soon! So we´re ´thinking outside the box´, as President Sloan always encouraged us to do. So now we contact by singing songs for people! It´s starting to work really well, we´re getting accepted more, and rejected more softly! Always nice.
We had a baptism this week! Her name is Ipatia. She is the daughter of Sara, who needs to separate from her ex-husband. Although her mom needs more preparation, she was all ready! Her only challenge is that she has epilepsy, and has seizures from time to time. She´s really smart though and she will do great. Now we have to work with her mom! And with several other families. But more on that later.
President Sloan is now on his way back to the states, and our new president, President Ghent, has arrived. I need to write to him now, so I´ll have more stories next week! I also have a training in Quito this Wednesday, as well as a plaza presentation to do with the rest of the zone in Riobamba on Friday! Also working on some baptisms for this next week. We want to get a good streak going! Talk to you next week!
Love,
Elder Wallace
